The Nakshtra, in which Moon is placed at the time of birth, is called Janma Nakshtra. Janma Nakshtra has a great importance in predictive astrology. Therefore it is very important to know the effects of Nakshtras on the different aspects of the our life like health, wealth, prosperity etc.

What is Gand Mool Nakshtra?

Special Importance has been attached for births in Six Nakshtras out of 27 Nakshtras which are ruled by Mercury and Ketu. They are Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Moola and Revati. If the natal Moon in the horoscope of a child is in one of these Nakshatras, the child is said to be born in Gand Mool Nakshatras. They are considered inauspicious both for boys and girls. Gandanta is particularly bad because it is a double Sandhi, a juncture of two rashis and two nakshtras. Planets located at these points are very weak and supposed to cause major problems in life unless proper remedial measures are taken.
